Weird and wonderful.
Mar. 7th, 2018 08:56 pmWalking through the falling snow today, just as I went under an awning there was a huge flash. I didn't know what it was - maybe it came from inside the shop, maybe it was a car, who knows. But then, not even half a block later, a crack of thunder, strong and unmistakable.
I didn't know thunder and lightning could happen with snow. It's been a secret from me for all the years I've lived in places with both those kinds of weather. Earlier today I was talking about the sort of soft, almost dry rain that happens in California, where it's more a heavy mist that stays around all day, and I do miss that. But I'd miss this sort of storm if I went back, too. I'm glad I got a chance to see it.
