On bagels.
Dec. 30th, 2022 04:02 pmAt loose ends, with little going for the day, I resorted to frivolous spending and went out for a bagel. An everything bagel, toasted, with scallion cream cheese I brought right back to my apartment to top off with red pepper flakes and eat with gusto, the combination of the refined carbohydrates and dairy fat gave me the centered feeling I'd been missing. It didn't solve any of my problems, but I feel better about dealing with them.
My leg's in pain again. This could be the cold weather playing against me or it could be the bike injury needs more attention than I'd thought it did. I got a rejection from that query two days ago. It was a form letter, which doesn't offer anything in the way of feedback, so I can't figure out if the rapid turnaround time was good or bad. Friday night dinner's cancelled because my dad's sick, and my family still can't manage decent Zoom etiquette, which is a poor substitution in any case.
I can get in touch with the PT office and ask them about it. I can send another query to someone else. It'll be good to assert some sense of propriety into the family conversations.
