Safe on my shoulders.

I spent the evening watching fireworks with my dad from his building's roof. It was great. We split a bottle of wine. It was delightful. I can still hear some fireworks from Manhattan from my apartment. It's pretty fun. We literally raised our glasses to some of the fireworks we watched over the Hudson. It was lovely. I'm still fairly sloshed. It's pretty fantastic.

On the elevator ride down, he said, "No kings!"

"No gods, no kings, only man!" I said back to him, a sentiment he enjoyed without knowing the specific reference.

I've now had Grape Nuts with full-fat yogurt, and I'll wait a few minutes to see if I still want ice cream. The freezer is near. I may yet, tonight.
