The Icebreaker Challenge: Introduce yourself. Tell us why you're doing the challenge, and what you hope to gain from it.

I'm Hannah wherever I can manage it, and I don't know if I'm a fandom old yet or if I got into fandom young enough I've just been around for a long time. I've certainly been doing this challenge a while, and I admit I look forward to it every year - it's a good way to ease into a new calendar cycle and, as a bonus, I usually pick up a couple new people to talk to before it's over. Because talking to people is the biggest reason I've stayed around this long.

I think fandom old is a state of mind. You're a fandom old whenever you decide you are, and not a minute before :D

I think it's something you realize happened a little while ago when you weren't paying attention, and it's only now hitting you.

It's almost a disappointment there isn't some kind of standard benchmark - only almost, because fandom would start arguing over it immediately.

Fandom Old is a term I've seen a lot lately. Am I fandom old if I still mostly hang out on LiveJournal and am into Harry Potter fandom? I know I am Real Life Old hahahaa

Real Life Old and Fandom Old tend to overlap, but it's not always a guarantee.
