Monday night.
Apr. 6th, 2020 11:15 pmDinner tonight was a sweep-the-kitchen meal made of scrounged and scavenged and miscellaneous things: half a bag of pasta, a little leftover tomato sauce and some extra diced tomatoes, a couple red onions, some garlic, plus spinach. It felt very grad school, and was surprisingly tasty. I don't often cook like that, and it's fun to do so every now and then.
Needing to get rid of some things before Passover was another motivating factor. I'll be having a small dinner with my brother who lives close by - we're both in low-risk groups, so as long as we don't hug and keep our hands clean, we can share a table. So I'll be doing some cooking and baking for the Seders. It's a relatively calm proposition to have something to worry about that's pretty much under my control.
