Light upon the brine.
Jan. 2nd, 2020 09:42 pmSo get this: I wrote the street address incorrectly on a package I mailed last week, 595 instead 599. Because it's an international package with a customs form, I also wrote my email address, and earlier tonight, the person who actually got the package reached out to me to say they weren't the intended recipient but it showed up at their door that evening.
A few polite emails and 45 minutes later, it got to where it needed to be.
Not quite a mess, not quite a fuss, but something that wouldn't have happened without the internet - and something that wouldn't have been able to be fixed without it, either.
Sometimes I get to live in the future I want.
And of course, without the internet, I couldn't as easily share it for a few smiles.
