Moving towards you.
May. 1st, 2019 09:15 pmWaiting for news is never pleasant; bad news, especially so. There's the hope of bad news at least being delivered quickly, instead of having to keep sending out reminders by both email and phone. There's a tiny bit of me that's wondering how petty it would be to contact the office again tomorrow and ask if they're sure they've filled the position with someone else. Really sure. Because it took over a month of me emailing, waiting, calling, emailing, more waiting, and a couple more calls to find out. And I'd like to be really sure.
Does anyone else have music they save for certain times? Not specific occasions, but specific times on the calendar. I have a few albums I keep off rotation eleven months of the year, for no reason I can really explain - there's songs with months in the title, like "A Long December" off Recovering the Satellites, and it's just one of those habits that's now ingrained and would be so easy to break I don't much see the point in doing so.
It's been ten years since Dreamwidth launched. I joined when it was still in closed beta, early enough to get my first-pick username. Early enough to be in the habit of posting here, and stay in the habit, so I can peek back and check where I was when the rest of the world keeps flowing too fast for me to keep my feet beneath me.
