I've tested and checked, and my alarm clock's not working. It tells the time perfectly well - it just doesn't do the alarm part anymore. For the last couple of weeks I'd been worried I'd been sleeping through my alarm, but knowing it just didn't got off at all is sort of comforting. It's not just me.
My iPhone does alarms, so I've got that. I'm also not sure if it'd be worth it to get the clock fixed, since it was a simple, cheap model, or get something new. A direct replacement can't be done, since the company discontinued the model I've got and I'd have to work my way through eBay to see to that. Which, tempting as it is, would probably take about as much time and effort as finding something else suitably straighforward and Midcentury-modern as mine.
In other news, I breezed through my parents' building at the very tail end of Trick-Or-Treating hours, and because it was right at the end, came away with just a small handful. Thankfully, it was still M&M and peanut butter cup focused. As well it should be.
