The first thing I said this month was "thank you."
Usually I say "rabbit rabbit" or "rabbit run rabbit run" - not for any particular hope for luck as much a pleasure in the ritual for its own sake. It's something I picked up a while ago as a direct result of reading The Lore and Language of Schoolchildren and because it seemed fun. Except this month, I didn't.
I was dreaming of something, I can't remember the full context, except it ended up I was sitting across a desk from a man. He praised me for helping out in some form or another, saying it was good I was there and it was good what I'd done, words to that effect.
And I woke up just as I said, "Thank you."
