Still the morning.
Oct. 1st, 2017 10:10 pmInstead of my usual Sunday obligations, I helped my brother move some furniture and organize his apartment. He managed to get his hands a nice, tall bookcase, and needed my help to get it from its starting point to its destination. Once there, we rearranged some other stuff, shuffled some chairs around, and were rewarded with vertical storage almost up to the ceiling.
We couldn't get it on the elevator, so we had to carefully maneuver it up the stairs. It was tall enough to fit in the elevator, but not with us sliding it in at an angle - something I knew wouldn't work from watching Square One back in the day, which was pretty delightful.
Vertical storage means he freed up a lot of floor space, figured out the duplicates in his book collection, sorted a lot of the rest into more suitable categories, and created the illusions of depth and space in the apartment without disrupting the actual flow of things.
Also, I woke up and it was sweatshirt weather.
So pretty much a win.
