Dec. 21st, 2016 08:55 pmIt seems appropriate in retrospect that I spent the day of the solstice stocking up on provisions. It was mostly because I didn't want to deal with going out to the farmer's markets for the next couple of weeks - definitely not the 24th or 31st - and grocery stores, for much the same reasons, are also right out. But even so, my fridge is stocked to capacity with ingredients soon to be turned into food, and I'm set for a fair while. So that's a comforting feeling, even if the swiss chard and mushrooms can't fit into the vegetable drawer.
