Roommate situation.
Feb. 24th, 2015 10:48 pmGlancing over the side of my bed the other night, I happen to time it just right that I got to watch a spider crawl across the floor and hide underneath my dresser. I took stock of the situation, considered the variables, and said, "Hi, spider buddy!"
Yes. Out loud.
It made me so happy to see that little spider. Now, this was a tiny, pale animal - small enough it could easily fit on any of my fingernails. Too small to do me any harm. I took it as a good sign, because it'd be nice to have something else in my apartment besides me and my plants. Best of all, knowing there's a spider around means I don't have to worry about other invertebrate invaders. I've got a spider buddy on my side. It'll all be taken care of by the time I get up in the morning for my own breakfast.
