Two slices of cheap, greasy pizza, twenty minutes of sitting quietly, and I'm still shaking a little bit from tonight's concert. This was my fourth time seeing her, and timthe first time in a big venue - Radio City Music Hall is a far cry from a small open-air theater by the Monongahela. So many more people on just the ground level of seating alone. It was different, sitting inside and seeing her like that. Not all that different, though: when she opened her mouth and sang, stomped her foot to make a point, threw her hair back like a lion shaking its mane, she reminded me she was still that force of nature, that woman from the world.

The single best song of the night, by far and without question, was "City Swan." I'd heard it the last time I saw her live, before her latest album came out, and even though I'd recognized it from The Worse Things Get..., tonight was more honestly the second time I'd heard it. Getting introduced to a song live and holding onto that performance as its intended form leaves an impression. Hearing her sing it again tonight took me back to that first time listening, the same lyrical images and impressions and escape. Not quite homecoming - more saying hello face-to-face to a friend after years apart.

And yes, I got a setlist.
