I'd thought to check my travel laptop, and mostly, it still works fine - mostly, though, because the Microsoft Office suite that had come installed on the machine stopped working since I last had reason to use it, which was probably last summer up in Skaneateles. Since some months back I needed a workaround for my main computer, this makes sense.
The thing is I said I'd come here to do some writing.
As such, the workaround this time is simply firing up Notepad and kicking it old school.
