Funny this comes up on a day I'd already decided to focus more on cardio!

For the last few months, mostly since my bike accident last September, I've been using the electric bikes at the city kiosks almost exclusively. They're fun, they're fast, they're great at getting me someplace quickly, and they're not as much of a strain on my knee. And they're not as good for exercise as the analog ones that are powered by food. I've gotten slow and soft in the legs these last few months. It'll take me a while to build my old levels of strength back up, especially knowing how much fun the electric bikes are.

I also need to get better about taking the stairs up to my apartment. I timed it once, and it takes about as long to climb the stairs as it does to wait for and ride the elevator.

My knee's back to a reasonable level of stability where I know I can rely on it to perform. I can take breaks to rest it during the rides if I need to. I can call a ride short if I'm in genuine pain if I have to. My goal, then, is to get back onto the regular bikes as often as possible, and to take the stairs whenever I can.
