It's the end of National Poetry Month, so it seems a good time to post some readings from the last few weeks.

"Sorrow Is Not My Name" by Ross Gay, which helped me remember warm weather was on its way,

"Tiger Face" by Stephen Dunn, which I got for my birthday,

“Onset” by Kim Addonizio, which I don't think is funny but I can see the humor in it,

“When people say, ‘we have made it through worse before’” by Clint Smith, which is a reminder to keep up the work,

“Psychic Surgery” by John Montague, which has me thinking about what it means to be ready for prophecy,

“The Lives of the Heart” by Jane Hirshfield, which is lay-me-on-the-floor gorgeous,

"Ode to the Potato" by Barbara Hamby, which is a celebration of the crown jewel of the New World that I got after seeing him in person at a big-scale media convention,

“Storm Warnings” by Adrienne Rich, which gives me good cold shivers,

"Sleep Positions" by Lola Haskins, which is a delight, and

“Poetry Failure” by Mark Halliday, which I got from [personal profile] nightdog_barks some time ago and as it would've been her birthday today, it seemed a good one to ask for.
