Frost and mountain air.

I've recently figured out that if I hold seed out to the pigeons over a low wall, they'll come over and eat right out of my hand without any hesitation or worry - and if I move carefully, with my right hand feeding them, my left hand's free to pet them. Gently stroking down their backs.

Or the one that knows me and always lands on my arm - that one, it's much the same, with one hand feeding and one hand petting. Whether it's one or many, it's really become the highlight of the day. So soft and so warm.
