Gainful surprises.

Spend about twenty minutes on the phone some days ago, get $5 in the mail today. A fair crisp bill, too. As hourly wages go, it's better than some jobs I've had, but given that the payment was such a surprise - I just thought, better me with nowhere to go than someone who has to hang up immediately and rush to an appointment - it would've been nicer to know that going in. I'd have been much more chipper, for one.

Still. Even without knowing what the rest of the week might have, latte money is now mine.
