Easy Saturday.

I bought two quinces today for no reason beyond their scent. They're a little blotched-brown and they've still got their leaves, and I love how the appearance belies the aroma. So wonderful and delicate. You have to get right up close to pull it in properly.

Earlier today, I was asked about weekend plans and drew up short: I'm in a lull phase with writing projects, mostly doing steady editing, and it's difficult to verbalize that during incidental conversations in small coffee shops. So I just said I was doing some errands.
