Convention month! Convention month! Con.Txt is in just a few weeks, time to start upping my cardio routine so I can dance my feet off all night long.

I'm developing a fixation for Trader Joe's canned seltzer. Part of it's the present heatwave and part of it's that it has some really top-shelf bubbles. I've got a recipe for a watermelon mint vinegar tonic to make when watermelon comes into the market, and bubbly sweet vinegar drinks are way better than they sound. Trust me on this. They cut through humidity like nobody's business. Sometimes you don't even need the bubbles.

Of note for today, Timmy the tamed robin landed on my shoulder and climbed onto my head while I was chopping blueberries at the bird rehab center. This is the second time he's done this. I fed him a couple messy ones, like last time, which I'd venture he remembers well enough to pull the same trick a second time. I like to joke with him, ask him how he's doing, call him Timothy for added formality. He's not much of a conversationalist, but he's always good company.
