Lack of a template.
May. 22nd, 2014 10:31 pmI'm at a point in my current WIP where I'm not happy with what I have or how I'm doing it. I remain happy with the idea behind everything, and the things I can possibly explore, but it's that I don't really have a good handle on the voice of the main point of view character yet. How she talks, how she moves around. I don't yet have much to hang onto with her. It's frustrating me, and I'm dealing with that by writing very slowly, only 500 words a session. Which isn't helping matters all that much.
I think what I need to do is get out to the movies and get something new in my brain that way - also, see if I can minimize telecommuting and get into a physical workspace where I interact with more people than I do at the Garden. And, yes, interact with more people while I'm at the Garden.
