Late-night report.
Dec. 14th, 2013 08:21 pmIt's been snowing for about twelve hours now. I'm in a position to personally vouch for that, having managed to throw in the towel around six and get up early enough on a Saturday to make coffee, on top of difficulties falling and staying asleep last night.
Still, for all that, it's hard to be upset about the day, not when I stepped outside my building to go to the market this morning and looked up into the infinite snow. Very light and dry, small flakes, very powdery. The wind's keeping it from heavy accumulation, and it's mostly the consistent amount of it that's surprising today. I've seen heavy snowfall, and this isn't it, but I know the parks and streets tomorrow are going to look beautiful.
Now I'm pondering ordering in sushi, largely to reward myself for having managed to get about 500 words written. Utter filler words, the sort of thing just to make wordcount - "She’d wanted to discuss something with him, and waited for them to go" and suchlike - but they're still more words than what I had this morning.
