Jun. 21st, 2013 11:54 amI save my drafts in ascending numerical order - when I make a heavy round of edits, or a big enough shift, it goes up by a digit. 1.1, 1.5, 2.2, 2.7, and so on until it's done.
Last night, my current work in progress got to 3.1. I've never had a story get a number that high before.
Right now I'm this close to being done with the first draft. I'm sure you'll know when I get there, because I'll be screaming with triumph and relief.
