I'll probably name it Championship Vinyl.
Dec. 18th, 2011 05:25 pmThanks to her living in the same apartment building for over two decades, my grandmother has a decent-sized storage unit in its basement. My family's got a couple dozen boxes stashed in there, most of which by weight is mine. We sorted through a bunch of the boxes yesterday, cataloging their contents and making an inventory list and considering how much is really tucked away in there and what I might have space to take with me to my place.
Of everything, the CDs would be easiest to get rid of. There's a few I'd like to keep around, like Clouds and The Beatles Anthology 1-3, but for the most part, the physical objects are easy to divorce from their content.
Which is why I'm looking at two-to-four terabyte hard drives and comparing storage capacity and price of a couple different devices that'd be exclusively used as music storage. Anyone have any advice or memorable experiences with such things that they'd like to share?
