The saga continues.

Two hours and twenty minutes on tech support later, my computer is running better than it has in months. The mess of issues - the host, the legion - pretty much boils down to "too much stuff that wasn't supposed to be there." The tech support guy had to go into Safe Mode a couple of times, install some heavy-duty cleaning programs, and wipe out stuff that'd somehow been hiding behind the playlists for ages. But he managed, and succeeded. And now I want to buy cupcakes for everyone.

I'll settle for sighing happily every ten minutes, continuing to meld with the internet, and getting on with my life tomorrow.
