I hate it when this happens.

I'm making a note here that I've got another upper respiratory infection. I had one just over two months ago in early August. It'd be nice to do back to bed, but there's things I need to get done today. I'll see what decongestants I have in the cabinet.

If I knew what to do to keep these from happening so much, I'd go ahead and do that, but I'm fresh out of ideas.

Sick and tired.

I got permission to leave early today due to the infection. Hopefully lots of tea and over-the-counter decongestants will take care of the symptoms while my immune systems rallies itself to deal with the root cause. In the meantime, I just don't want to take more painkillers to fall asleep because of pain in my jaws and ears from fluid build-up. Stupid faulty tubes. But with any luck, I can pull a full day next week, and the one after that as well. We got two more people today, and I had this extreme moment of contentment when we were all going to lunch - there was a huge feeling that I knew these people, that we were all drawn to this work for much the same reasons and interests, and I was more than happy to be with them.

As long as I'm here, before I go off to relax and recuperate and not think for a while, I'll take the time to ask - is there anyone interested in beta-reading that fic I talked about, the long one? I swear it won't take long to get into the canon, maybe twenty to forty minutes, depending on the speed of the internet connection. I'd really like to post it soon.
