I hate it when this happens.

I'm making a note here that I've got another upper respiratory infection. I had one just over two months ago in early August. It'd be nice to do back to bed, but there's things I need to get done today. I'll see what decongestants I have in the cabinet.

If I knew what to do to keep these from happening so much, I'd go ahead and do that, but I'm fresh out of ideas.

I had this problem -- bronchitis, coughing -- for months on end with no real relief until I found a high-quality oil of oregano and started using that 3 times a day.

For some reason the liquid form is more potent than the capsules, which is unfortunate because the oil is extremely potent and capsules are much easier to take. How I do it:

Do NOT mix a few drops with water and drink it, as the label will instruct you to do. I don't know who does that but their tolerance for discomfort is way higher than mine.

What I did was start carrying a spoon and a small container of sugar. Heap some sugar on the spoon, create a small fingertip-depression in the heap, and put several drops of the oil into that. It will form a little clump. Have a glass of water at hand, shake off most of the rest of the sugar and place the oil-clump at the back of your tongue, then quickly take a sip and wash it down.

Not the most convenient way to take medicine, but in three days I wiped out a respiratory infection I'd had more than 3 months and that a prescription hadn't touched.

Oh, I meant to add: if you do try oregano oil, take it when you're having a meal. It could upset your stomach if taken without food. With food, I've never had a problem.

It's not in my lungs, though. No bronchitis, little coughing. It's just a lot of liquid that shouldn't be there, drying out stuff that should be wet. But I appreciate the thought.
