This afternoon I met with my dad where we sat down with a blank copy of a recent draft of a cover letter and a pen and I had him tell me exactly what I needed to change to streamline the letters and make them more attractive. Just a couple of things per letter, nothing too egregious or painful. It was getting there and having him tell me exactly what needed to be different that was the hard part. I'll probably get to them Tuesday afternoon.

This morning was a lot better. I'd found some Pepperidge Farms imported Tim Tams last Thursday, so I was able to make good on my promise to treat my younger brother to Tim Tam slams as a reward and congratulations for completing the first draft of his senior thesis. We finished a packet between us, sitting on a bench in the early spring sunshine - warm enough for sneakers for me and shorts for him, and t-shirts for the both of us. The slams themselves were delicious, intense, and worth every minute of waiting. After that, we wandered through Chinatown and had vegetable dumpling soup for lunch, relaxed and chatted about cars, living in New York, California nostalgia, and silly video games.

I spent the evening poking at Remix, and I'll take some notes down tomorrow to help me figure out the ongoing plot. I'd like to finish by Saturday, but I'll see if I can get it done by the tenth.
