hannah: (Travel - fooish_icons)
Hanging out in the lobby of the Pittsburgh airport and waiting for a shuttle to arrive is a lot easier when the airport provides Internet access. Soon enough I'll be back at the house, adjusting all the necessary settings, getting a working web browser, and making sure this whole shebang runs smoothly - for now, I'll just catch up on webcomics.

Oddly enough, the shuttle service from the airport was worse than the two flights - it felt that way, at least, with lots of waiting, starting and stopping, and plenty of traffic. But I got back to the house just fine, and I've just made an appointment with the campus' tech services to install XP on here. Windows 7 looks better after some heavy modification, but it's plain wrong in a lot of areas. So because I don't want an ulcer trying to move files around - everything's already backed up, and I've got one last product key for Norton AntiVirus - Friday this gets fixed.

I mean, if this operating system is messing up both Windows Media Player and Semagic, it's pretty fundamentally screwed-up.
