Audience participation.

I've seen this around several times, and I've wanted to try it out for a while: Guess The Lyrics! All songs taken from my 'random MP3' playlist, and is not indicative of my overall music collection - none of my Joni Mitchell is on there - but there's a wide range of things. Bonus points for guessing the proper artist of cover versions. Please accept this until I get my head together for some proper content.

1. guess? dude, it's a folk song. that's like asking me to guess who sings happy birthday. it could be my sixth grade music teacher for all i know. maybe jen titus? that's a pretty trendy version. or rise?

10. same problem as the first song, lol. i don't know which artist you're more likely to have in your collection. maybe you have the rufus wainwright version, or frank sinatra, or the david bowie version. beats me.

1. Jen Titus. In this case I thought since her version is so popular for most of my friends-list, that the people who'd likely respond to this post would know of her. But you're right, I was generalizing-from-self again.

10. It's David Bowie. Although until I did this post, I wasn't aware there were so many recordings of the song - I thought it was just three or four.

actually, that's pretty brilliant to go with the jen titus. i think she's on the supernatural soundtrack (or maybe i just have a fanmix from someone made for supernatural, and they put that on there). but yeah, definitely, you're right. if people don't have the o brother version, they have the jen titus version.

...and now that you mentioned david bowie, i'm thinking that you probably sent me BOTH the jen titus and the david bowie, which is why i even have the songs to begin with.

LOLOLOL *headdesk*

She's on the soundtrack, and the song was used for promos and released for free from the CW on their website. And come to think of it, I've got the O Brother version too, but it's on the CD instead of the computer.

Heee! I might well have.
