Saturday night.
It's awfully quiet out here on the Internet tonight. I'm bouncing around trying to settle down and edit a story.
Is anyone around? Am I in the wrong time zone for this sort of thing? How does one attract company, anyway?
It's sore as in 'painful' by the way - a five-hour walk will do that, even in a city.

Mmm, tea. I ought to get some in a bit, even if it means having to stand up to move to the kitchen.

Why such a long walk? Was this one of your wonderful urban rambling trips?

I heard that I may be getting a letter from an Unknown Woman...

Heh. We've changed channels (Letter was too slow) and now we're watching Tom Hanks run around Vatican City in Angels and Demons.

i made noodle soup and, while it cooked, got help re-gluing the bit of velcro attached to my thumbnail. this required superglue, a product i am currently in no state to handle, so Craig (roomie's bf) applied the glue and then i had to carefully hold the velcro in place w/my right thumbnail while it took what seemed like for EVAR to dry.
"you realize," said Craig, "if you glue your hands together i'm gonna laugh and make fun of you."
"nothing i'm not used to," i said. "you don't know what kind of friends i have."

The Mr and I are watching the Amazing Race, as I'd mentioned. One of the tasks is to choose between hunting for a bunch of grapes in a square kilometer of winter-sparse grapevines or using exactly 680 champagne glasses to create a tower 15 levels high. The Mr and I weren't sure which one of those tasks we would want to do, so we got out the paper and tried calculating what shape you'd need to make a champagne-glass tower, and we discovered it has to be triangular.
Not to say, if we were actually in that situation, we would have actually picked that, but. It was fun. :)

And I'm about done: except for two extended medical bits, which I'll ask someone else about later, I think I've hit everything. Want me to send it over?
