Of the day's assorted accomplishments, sharing a small bit of writing with a good friend and being told it hurt the way I wanted to is the high point. Second was making a savory-sweet beer bread using some honey and Penzeys' fox point seasoning - seriously, that stuff goes with pretty much everything and I'm going to need to get more soon - that's in the freezer for later.

It warmed up considerably, going above freezing. Warm enough I didn't need a big coat, just a sweatshirt. After last week's cold snap, I can't say I mind terribly, not when it comes to things like how my fingers get after a while outside, but I do mind somewhat. I'd been enjoying it, minor discomforts aside. How it felt and what it meant, and that it was an appropriate temperature for the season.
