Summertime is fallen down.
Sep. 6th, 2024 09:09 pmThe air had a weight to it this morning, a particular kind of chill, and it gave me reason to wonder. What set me certain was seeing the pumpkins at the market. There's no arguing with pumpkins - I can debate with butternut squash, I can bargain with kabocha, and pumpkins are inevitable, inescapable, and inarguable.
Fall's here.
It's still warm and clear for a while, the leaves haven't started turning, and the season's begun.
Also of note today was finding out I'd heard of an actor my sister in law G. recognized in an ad for his new TV show; Brian Jordan Alvarez and English Teacher, respectively. She knew him from a horror-comedy movie from a couple years back that I never saw and barely paid attention to which apparently wasn't very good, while I know him from "The Gay and Wondrous Life of Caleb Gallo" which has significantly more hits than misses with its jokes.
The two of us run with very different crowds.
