No longer just a phrase.
Feb. 22nd, 2023 09:24 pmI slept in late this morning, didn't do much with my waking hours, half-assed my way through PT, and I'm going to try to go to bed early tonight to try again tomorrow.
That said, there was a spark of pure joy. For dinner, I made salmon chowder that used heavy cream for some of the fat. I'd bought the cream at the farmer's market last Saturday, and when I opened the little bottle, it wasn't a liquid. It was a solid. It'd separated, and what I was looking at was the literal cream of the cream.
So I made some lapsang souchong tea. Nothing else could stand up to it, or be worthy of it. And by golly, it knocked my socks off.
