Good morning good morning.
Mar. 1st, 2022 06:34 pmI didn't sleep well last night, which could be a symptom of something dangerous or a reasonable response to a lot of anticipation, worry, and fear. Either way, after a couple hours' lying in bed, I got up, took an Ativan that I keep around for pretty much exactly this sort of situation, and managed some rest before going to the doctor's office this morning.
The rapid test I took at home yesterday was negative; the one I took there was negative as well. I'm waiting on the PCR, and knowing it'll take at least 14 hours to get the sample from the office to the processing lab isn't curbing the impulse to keep checking the link they sent me.
In waiting for the waveform to collapse one way or another - and hoping for one way rather than the other, your lips to God's ears - I managed to be attentive in the weekly staff meeting and ask a couple solid questions, and cooked up some cabbage soup for future lunches. I keep tasting it, making sure I know what I can sense, and drinking cup after cup of tea while contemplating an extremely early bedtime.
