Challenge 13.
In your own space, share a favorite memory about fandom: the first time you got into fandom, the last time a fanwork touched your heart, wild times with fellow fans (whether on-line or off-line), a lovely comment you’ve received or have left for someone. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Virtual ConFabCon, November 2020, I wander into a Zoom hangout where the conversation's turned to The Witcher. I'm nodding along, chewing some gum to help with my inner ears, as the other participants are discussing character arcs, backstory - then they turn to me and ask how much of the show I've seen, because there's something they want to talk about that's a spoiler, but it might be a squick, it might be a trigger...
I nod, and snap my gum, and as open and earnest and matter-of-fact as you could ever want, I ask them, "Is it bukkake?"
Let me tell you, the way they broke into helpless laughter always brings a smile to my face. And for that, it's one of my favorite fandom memories.
