I'm starting to remember, again, that a disruption to expected routines always throws off the rest of the night. Not in a bad way. Just, it happens, and it's the rest of the night pretty much removed from consideration for anything productive.
My parents wanted to eat out with some friends of theirs; their friends cancelled, and since I live close to them, I went instead. It was a good meal, fine food, lovely espresso, and nice to spend time with them. Great and grand to know I could go out with them for a meal at a nearby restaurant with all reasonable safety precautions, something withheld for a very long time. And...no productivity for the rest of the night.
Then again, it's a Saturday night, so maybe I shouldn't get so hung up on the concept.
