Jul. 15th, 2021 10:54 pmThe two highlights of the day were showing off a hawk and grabbing the check.
The red-tailed hawk was hanging out on the ground, doing something with some bark - maybe playing with it, maybe eating some grubs off it, maybe confused as to what to do with it. I stopped my bike ride to watch it, and whenever anyone came by, I pointed towards the hawk, focusing their attention to it. Whenever anyone came by and saw the hawk hanging out on the ground, they stopped to watch it, too. One of them thanked me for pointing it out to him.
As for the check, I was out having dinner with a friend, and when they went to use the bathroom, I told a waiter it was time to bring the check - taking care of it before they got back to the table, netting myself a full win at adulting.
