Citibike charges extra for electric bikes, and waives the fee if electric bikes are the only ones available at a given station. Today things happened in such a way that I could take an electric bike out for a decent ride without paying extra for it, and while it's not something I'll go to much effort to engage with or pay for, it was certainly quite fun to feel the motor kicking in.

I did something to the left side of my neck and shoulder - slept on it wrong, maybe, or pushed it too hard last night - and now it hurts when I tip my head too far back. It's the most maddening thing, especially since it doesn't hurt at all if I do push-ups with good form. Muscles pull on each other in the strangest of ways sometimes.
