Something that happened.
May. 15th, 2020 08:19 pmThe absolute highlight of my week was making Amber Benson laugh last night. Yes, Tara Maclay herself.
What happened was she attended a Buffy trivia livestream, and read a few of the questions to participants for as long as time zones allowed her to stay. Before the event started, though, there was time for a small general hangout over Zoom - her and the other hosts on audio, everyone else muted in the chat. I commented that there were enough people in attendance to crew her next movie, and when one of the other hosts read that to her, she rocked back and forth in laughter when she heard it.
Turns out she's pursuing a pilot of her "Witches of Echo Park" series. Who knows what'll come of that, especially right now, but that's what she's working on, and I managed to get it right without even knowing.
My trivia team came in fourth out of twenty-eight - when geography is no object, everyone can come - with our name being The Cutest of the Scoobies.
("What's our team name?" I asked. "We're The Cuties of the Scoobies," I was told. "Yes, I know that, but what's our name?" I asked, living the dream of delivering a cartoon punchline.)
The full team name lineup:
ateamwithoutshrimp
