Related to today's Snowflake challenge, my Buffy trivia team came in second place with 69 points, which was nice. The winning team had a whopping 76 points, which was such a big margin of victory I'm left in awe of their recall of incidental minor characters.

I have a pretty decent sense of direction. I love my eyebrows. I know how to hold a large variety of birds so neither of us gets hurt. I'm learning how to take care of myself and I put in the effort to learn how to be a good friend.

I'm a solid writer, and I know how to work through a story to get to the end. I'm good at sticking with projects for the long haul, I can find ideas which nobody else has done yet, and I'm very good at getting people to believe them. As an old friend put it once, I can make things real.

I'm still proud of Left of West, which was one of the first things I wrote in any fandom where I got close to what I had in my head.

I wrote Stubborn Mouths in a near-fury, close to a compulsion, needing to get it out into the world, and Woven From Your Brown Hair under much the same feelings.

Set Off Like Geese was a way to reconstruct a fandom trope and reexamine certain metaphors and resonating aspects of the canon where the only way I could directly talk about them was, in fact, directly talk about them - strip away the magic so there wasn't anything in the way and build it back up from there.

Autumn's Advancing is one of those stories which nobody else had done yet - at least, not to my satisfaction, not to the way that I knew it could be done. So I went and did it myself.

I'm getting better at doing it myself.
