It's pretty amusing to hang out with fandom-inclined non-fannish people. This weekend, two of my brother's friends, a husband and wife, came to visit and the three of them saw Endgame. Afterwards, when we talked about it - mostly me and the husband - well, I'd had those conversations before.

All the people who died because of The Snap when the planes crashed? We've been discussing that since Infinity War.

The double standard regarding heroic deaths and funerals? Within minutes of the first showings on Thursday night as soon as we had Internet access.

The issues and concerns about registration in Civil War? Way ahead of you.

Asgard's power structure, the multiverse time travel comic book fuckery, whether or not Mjölner consents and has its own agency in regards to being wielded, spinning art from commerce, the Russo brothers' strengths and weaknesses? We're good here, we're all good here.

The surprisingly touching and vibrant depiction of soldiers and military personnel post-deployment and the struggles and concerns about returning to civilian life? Might I interest you in a significant percentage of Steve Rogers fics on the Archive of Our Own?

It made for a deeply amusing Sunday brunch for everyone involved.
