Chassis maintenance.
Sep. 25th, 2018 08:56 pmAbout a month ago, I hurt my knee; today I saw a physical therapist. Not because of slow bureaucratic reasons but because it didn't seem serious until now. I saw a doctor and got a prescription for anti-inflammatories, and when that didn't improve things, got this referral.
I'm not at an office job where I have to arrange for time off. I have access to solid insurance. I'm reasonably healthy otherwise. All this is good, and the part that has me most relieved is that it's not something that needs surgery. Just time, some at-home exercises, and the occasional application of heat and ice. It's not nerve damage, but long-term strain on some muscles combined with an acute trauma - pogoing on the dance floor - pulled something to tighten something else to keep me from full functionality.
If it goes well, I'll get back there in a few months, maybe less.
In the meantime, I also finally got my plane tickets for ConFabCon. There should be another dance floor there. Time will tell if I'll have learned my lesson.
