There's an eighty percent chance of rain this weekend, which means no chance of having a picnic in the park on Saturday. Opting to wait on those last few levels of preparation was a solid call. Which is also a disappointment, since the last couple of park brunches have been absolute blasts, and I was really looking forward to this one.

What I'm also looking forward to in June might well be another sort of disappointment, tempered by having the knowledge at last and being able to accurately plan for the future with that much more certainty about circumstance. I'll know as soon as my boss does. I can't say when she'll find out, but I can start asking tomorrow.
