Warm you like the sunshine.
Apr. 14th, 2014 05:41 pmThree years ago, I finished the rough draft of Children of the Wanderers just a few hours before the first Passover Seder. This was a fic which featured unambiguously Jewish characters, dealing in Jewish philosophy, that itself had its final scene as a Passover Seder. There was some beautiful synchronicity in the universe that day, let me tell you.
This year, I finish the rough draft of my current work in progress just a little while before the first Passover Seder. The story isn't nearly as Jewish, but the spirit is there - and the fact of the matter is that finishing a story just before going to participate in a major one is a delicious, delightful thing.
