What has tried.
May. 15th, 2013 11:18 pmThe clerk at the Fluevog store recognized me from Saturday. When I told him I knew exactly what I wanted to buy - size and color - and didn't need to try them on, he was impressed with how definitive I was. So I told him it took me three days to get there. Still, he said. Definitive.
The shoes were fifteen percent off, thanks to it being some yearly promotion or something. Also as part of the yearly thing, they were giving out cupcakes and Prosecco, and I got a free Fluevog mug and blue shoelaces along with the shoes themselves. There's a lot of self-congratulation going on with the company and promotional material that sits poorly with me, the buttons on the shoes should be functional or absent - and I now have a decent pair of Hire Me, Please job interview shoes.
I also need to practice strutting, since that seems to be the only way to walk in them without my heel tipping to the side one way or the other. It's a problem I have in pretty much every shoe I wear except for Chuck Taylors and rain boots.
