Billable hours.
Apr. 23rd, 2012 05:05 pmEither I didn't set my alarm or I slept through it, and I'm not sure which. The end result was me waking up an hour before I needed to be at work. I made it in just ten minutes late and apologized profusely, and thankfully the tardiness wasn't held against me. I'll just have to be more careful about checking the clock from now on.
It went pretty well. I deliberately did a truncated day to ease into things, which my boss didn't mind, since I'll be doing full days from now on. My schedule's now nine-to-five Wednesday to Friday, which is going to take a bit of getting used to for coordinating when to go to bed if nothing else. It's preferable to Monday-Wednesday-Friday, at any rate.
The work's quite dull, since I'm in the "compiling information" phase of the project. Manipulating the data comes later. Thankfully, I have headphones, and I'll see about stocking the break room with green tea for afternoon pick-me-ups.
