Sleeping with the window open a crack to get fresh air and general background noise: great for falling asleep.

Waking up with the sun and the early morning delivery trucks an hour before my alarm: not so pleasant.

The business end of six o'clock is nice and all, but not when there isn't even the chance of fog. So now I'm feeling more than a little nauseated, even post-coffee, and seriously considering skipping out on Ellis just to crawl back into bed. I'm already awake and hungry though, so I might as well pull myself together and head down to the Bowery.

So not only do I not have to go into Ellis next Monday, thanks to the federal holiday, I also don't have the gallery internship this Saturday, for the exact same reason. Wow! A full, long weekend all to myself - I barely know how that might work.

In all probability, just lots of sleeping and grocery shopping at farmers' markets and a couple of museums I haven't gotten around to seeing yet. But ah, the prospect of free time! How sweet it is.
