I really want to try this. I've got ideas I know I can pursue into full-length books, I've got the desire to be creative, I've got the time for it. But I know I don't have the space. That keeps tripping me up - knowing if I start in on a project like this, with the sort of energy original fiction requires, I won't have the space I'll need for working on cover letters.

Some of me wonders if that's just an excuse to put off going into the projects I want to pursue. The rest of me knows, legitimately, that it's too easy for me to fall into working on a story. Whatever story that might be. I like making working on a story my major goal and point to the day. I can get a thousand words a day or thereabouts when I know what I'm doing. I'd very much like to be in a place where I could focus on prose all day long. And at this point, where I am, I don't have that luxury.

I might do something from September to December, taking the summer to prepare and working on a smaller scale for daily wordcounts. I'll see what happens.
