On Saturdays I do volunteer cataloging at a gallery down in Soho and then meet my brother and grandmother for dinner somewhere in the city. Today we were meeting later than usual so I thought I'd head over to my brother's place for a while. I took a brisk walk over and called him from right in front of his dorm. He asked me where I was, and I told him he could look out his window and see me there.

Turns out he'd walked over to the gallery to meet me there instead, and that's where he was when I called.

Cosmic irony: nice when you can get it.

Am I going mad, or would a Team Fortress 2/Leverage crossover actually work?

I was thinking about making a list for the fifteen character reaction meme, the one where people submit questions and you write funny answers, and because I thought of Parker and Sniper one after the other, it occurred to me it'd be a lot of wicked fun to see those two professionals talking to each other. Which led to thinking about Sophie and Spy, and Hardison and Engineer. And then I realized, hey, Scout's from Boston and the show was set there in the last two seasons. And Leverage really likes its conspiracy theories and shadow agencies.

And from there I kind of fell off the cliff and tried to work out how to fit one to the other, with the Leverage crew trying to contact four of nine mysterious men in order to get information about a secret organization that nobody notices because it'd be like noticing the sky or gravity, and how Scout goes by "John Yossarian" and nobody knows what happened to Pyro but everyone hopes for the best. And the RED/BLU war went on for something like fourteen years at the very least and both companies tried to hide everything and maybe there'd be some references to telomeres or just good old-fashioned respawning and everyone left calling themselves ghosts. And there'd be plenty of fighting and chasing and explosions and shenanigans. And sandwiches. And lots and lots of hats.

It'd totally work, right?

It's probably just as well I don't know anyone else who likes both of these things, since I've already got my Remix to work on and cover letters besides.
